Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Eatix platform at eatixfood.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users — restaurant operators, diners, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

Eatix provides a QR-based table ordering platform that allows restaurant guests to view digital menus, place orders, and make payments from their smartphones without downloading an app. Restaurant operators use Eatix to manage menus, receive orders, and process payments.

3. Restaurant Operator Accounts

• You must provide accurate business information when registering
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your menu content (prices, allergens, availability)
• You must ensure all food items comply with applicable food safety regulations
• Account credentials must not be shared with unauthorised persons
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

4. Payments & Fees

Eatix facilitates payments between diners and restaurants via our payment processor (Stripe). By using the payment features, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Eatix charges a service fee to restaurant operators as agreed in your individual subscription or contract. All fees are exclusive of applicable VAT/taxes.

5. Diner Responsibilities

• Orders placed through Eatix constitute a binding contract with the restaurant
• You are responsible for communicating allergen requirements accurately
• Disputes regarding food quality or fulfilment must be directed to the restaurant

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Eatix platform — including design, code, trademarks, and copy — is the property of Eatix and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Restaurant operators retain ownership of their menu content but grant Eatix a licence to display it on the platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eatix is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including but not limited to incorrect orders, food quality issues, or payment disputes between diners and restaurants. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you to Eatix in the preceding 3 months.

8. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend the platform for maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Riga, Latvia.
